This scholarship is in memory of a very special friend and legendary baseball player, Ted Williams. Many people knew him, but few knew of the many good deeds he did. I was the first and unfortunately the last scholarship recipient of Ted's Scholarship Foundation. He wanted it to continue after his passing, however, it is no longer available. This is my way of thanking and remembering him.

The scholarship criteria:

• Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA throughout your college career
• Must be physically impaired (wheelchair bound)
• Must attend an accredited college or university
• Must graduate from the college/university attending
• Must reside in Citrus, Hernando, Sumter or Marion county

The scholarship only covers living expenses while attending college/university, such as:

• Personal care attendant
• Food, utilities, etc.
• Rent

Scholarship is available for a maximum of 4 years for a maximum of 2 recipients. Scholarships will start being awarded in August 2011. Please contact us for an application.
