Dream Helper's Program

The Dream Helpers program was developed to assist people with severe disabilities in the workforce. A Dream Helper can assist in the workplace if you meet the following criteria:
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America
- Must be a resident of the United States (proof to include a Florida Driver’s License or Florida State Identification Card)
- Must have a documented spinal cord injury with functional level between Cervical 1 and 6 or Brain Injury, such as Cerebral palsy, Stroke, or Quadriplegia, etc.
- Must have a doctor's letter verifying your disability
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must require personal assistance for bathing, dressing, bowel and bladder management, eating
and/or transportation - Must require personal assistance to maintain gainful employment
- Must be able to hire and manage a personal care attendant
- Must be gainfully employed and working a minimum of 20 hours per week (Employment will be verified)
- Must be earning a minimum of $9,960 annually and no more than a maximum of $60,000 per year for up to a four-person family.
- Must be gainfully employed a minimum of two (2) months prior to applying for the Program.
- Must be able to contribute 40% of current pay rate to assist in paying the PCA (Ex. If the PCA earns $10.00/hr, you must contribute $4.00/hour to the PCA's salary)
